Big Brothers Big Sisters Honors Graduates at 2nd Annual Celebration
Cherry Hill, NJ- On July 19th, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties will host its second annual graduation celebration, honoring six young people who graduated from high school this year and who will also be transitioning out of the agency’s one-to-one mentoring program. The event will be held on Saturday, July 19th and will be held at the agency’s office, located at 100 Dobbs Lane, Suite 202 in Cherry Hill. The program will begin at noon.

Mount Laurel, NJ – July 1, 2014 – Janet L. Ziegler, CFP®, VP-Wealth Management, Banks Ziegler Carter Group at UBS, long-time volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester in Cherry Hill, NJ, received Honorable Mention for philanthropic excellence in the eighth annual Invest in Others Community Leadership Awards.The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation established the Community Leadership Awards to support the philanthropic and volunteer activities of financial advisors. Financial advisors from across the nation are nominated by their peers for exemplifying outstanding leadership qualities in the industry and actively volunteering to improve their communities and make a difference in the lives of others.
Janet Ziegler has been a committed member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden & Gloucester Counties for over eight years. Ms. Ziegler is a leader on the local Board serving as Governance Committee Chair. She is a trusted role model on our Board guiding others to follow in her example of volunteerism and philanthropy.
Big Brothers Big Sisters and Darden Restaurants Partner
Grant Awarded for Youth Mentoring
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden & Gloucester Counties, a youth mentoring program, today announced it has been selected to receive a $3,000 grant as part of the Restaurant Community Grants program from theDarden Restaurants Foundation, Inc., the charitable arm of Darden Restaurants. Thegrants program, now in its third year, empowers each restaurant in the Darden family of brands to help award a $1,000 grant to support local community programs. The donation will enable Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden & Gloucester Counties’s project to strengthen and expand our school based mentoring program allowing us to serve more children.
Local Big Brothers Big Sisters Agency Rolls Out the "Purple Carpet" for Volunteers and Mentors during National Mentoring Month
On Thursday, January 30th, the agency will host a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at the Coastline Restaurant in Cherry Hill. The event, which will begin at 6:00 pm, is geared toward celebrating and honoring BIGS, volunteers and supporters of the agency.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Announces Art for Kids’ Sake!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties is calling all artists, designers and illustrators to create a unique design that will be featured on its t-shirts for its annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake event in April. The winning t-shirt will be worn & shared with over 750 participants during the event which will be held April 5-6, 2014.
3rd Annual Start Something for Kids Breakfast Fundraiser
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties is holding its annual Start Something for Kids Breakfast Fundraiser event on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Tavistock Country Club in Tavistock. This one-hour event which features a hot breakfast and video presentation is designed to not only raise awareness but also to raise funds to support the agency’s mission – to make a positive difference in the lives of children in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties.
