Local Big Brothers Big Sisters Agency Rolls Out the "Purple Carpet" for Volunteers and Mentors during National Mentoring Month
On Thursday, January 30th, the agency will host a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at the Coastline Restaurant in Cherry Hill. The event, which will begin at 6:00 pm, is geared toward celebrating and honoring BIGS, volunteers and supporters of the agency.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Announces Art for Kids’ Sake!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties is calling all artists, designers and illustrators to create a unique design that will be featured on its t-shirts for its annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake event in April. The winning t-shirt will be worn & shared with over 750 participants during the event which will be held April 5-6, 2014.
3rd Annual Start Something for Kids Breakfast Fundraiser
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties is holding its annual Start Something for Kids Breakfast Fundraiser event on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Tavistock Country Club in Tavistock. This one-hour event which features a hot breakfast and video presentation is designed to not only raise awareness but also to raise funds to support the agency’s mission – to make a positive difference in the lives of children in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties.
On Monday, September 16, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties will host a Monday night football party at the Phily Diner and Sports Bar in Runnemede. The event, which will begin at 7:00 pm, is geared toward engaging men who are interested in serving as mentors to young men in the tri-county area. Big Brothers Big Sisters provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring professionally supported one-to-one relationships.
Big Brothers Big Sisters and Darden Restaurants Partner to Advance Youth Mentoring
Grant is one of more than 850 awarded through Darden’s 2nd annual Restaurant Community Grants program
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden & Gloucester Counties, a local, youth mentoring and youth development organization, today announced it has been selected to receive a $2,000 grant as part of the Restaurant Community Grants program from theDarden Foundation, the charitable arm of Darden Restaurants Inc. Thegrants program, now in its second year, empowers each restaurant in the Darden family of brands to help award a $1,000 grant to support local community programs. The donation will enable Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden & Gloucester Counties’ project to strengthening and increase school based mentoring programs in our region. This grant will help support the 300+ school based mentoring matches we plan to serve this.
Local Big Brothers Big Sisters Agency Celebrates Five Years of Expanded Service to the Tri-County Area
July 1 marks the 5thanniversary of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties and its service to the tri-county area. In 2008, volunteers and professional staff from two different Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies merged together to form a stronger agency. Keeping the mission in the forefront, the agency is focused onproviding children facing adversity with strong and enduring professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Partners with Rachel’s Challenge
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden & Gloucester Counties has partnered with Rachel’s Challenge to bring a message of kindness to the children in the after-school mentoring program. High school students from Rachel’s Challenge will present an interactive program on Wednesday, February 13 at 3:30 p.m. at Dorothy L. Bullock Elementary School.
